Speke Resort Munyongo

On the shores of Lake Victoria, 30 minutes from the city centre, lies Speke Resort Munyongo. A grand complex spread out on 90 acres, consisting of a 5 star hotel, an equestrian centre, a wellness centre and a harbor.

Olympic size swimming pool

The pool, or should I say the size of the pool, is the most impressive feature of the resort. Next to the Olympic size one, there’s a smaller one for the little ones. Usually these little splash pools are quite small and not all that clean, but at Speke even the parents and bigger kids enjoy playing in the shallow water. There are sun beds with sunscreens all around the pools, so you can keep an eye on your child at all times. The big playhouse and bouncing castle in the garden adds to the fun.

You can enjoy lunch and drinks at the poolside, the price/quality ratio could be better but hey, you can’t have it all.

Children pay 20K, adults 40K per person. You have to bring your own towels.
