If you’re not wildly enthusiastic about the typical African furniture showcased on Ggaba Road and you have some money to spend, go to Old Port Bell Road instead.
If you’re familiar with the Italian restaurant Mediteranneo and delicacy shop and restaurant Cantine Di Vino (check out their interior shop as well!), you know what to expect stepping into Villa Kololo Interiors, since they are all part of the same Italian family. Beautiful furniture in every corner, all hand made in mahogany, walnut and oak from Europe, Asia and Africa. Some pieces are quite sober, others have many colored details. You could fill your home with what they have; beds, chairs, cupboards, drawers, nightstands, desks and that’s not even all.
I love the hand-woven pillow cases and woolen rugs. It’s actually pretty difficult to choose your favorite one from the stack of patterns and colors. They also have smaller items for your home, like picture frames, chandeliers, mirrors, statues, fabric, lanterns and the like. Make sure to bring your creditcard: expensive, expensive!
