Jerrybag

South - Korean Jy Park is a long way from home. After studying design in Finland, he travelled south to Uganda to do his theses. Here, the idea for the social enterprise Jerrybag - inspired by the jerry can which is often seen in developing countries to transport and store drinking water - was born. Together with his friend, Park has materialised his passion for creative sustainability by creating a brand that designs and manufactures sustainable products to raise global awareness of water issues.

Parts of these jerry cans are actually used in his original designs. I especially like the standard canvas backpacks in khaki and navy and the Serengeti collection with colorful African kitenge which can be used as a backpack and tote bag.

Jerrybag is sold at Bold (Acacia Mall in Kololo), Ricci Everyday (Restaurant Prunes on Wampewo Avenue) and Design Hub Kampala (5th Street in Industrial Area).

Jerrybag Original 90K, Standard 70K, Serengeti 70K, Elephant large 120K, Elephant small 100K.
