Muwonge Organic Farm

It may sound like an empty marketing phrase, but in this case they put their money where their mouth is. Unlike a lot of other eggs out there with pale yellow or even gray yolk – yikes – Muwonge actually does have almost orange eggs.

On the relatively small farm, just outside of Kampala, mass breeding is out of the question. The chick’s menu reads vegetables and fruits. I think this must be the secret to their almost orange success!

Apart from beautiful eggs, Muwonge sells its delicious chickens too. Chicken fillet, chicken breasts or a whole seasoned one, it all tastes wonderful. 

Eggs and chicken are on sale at Prunes’ Farmers Market on Saturday morning, but you can also find the eggs at Millennium Supermarket on Kisementi in Kololo.
