Linove

In the relatively small Italian restaurant Linove great things happen in the kitchen.

Owner Liliana Novellino, originally from Sicily, sees to it that her customers taste her passion for food. Or, in her words, try her ‘Italian culinary Art.’

Fresh & Lovely

After a life in Kenya, where entrepeneurial Liliana started a cheese factory and cooking school, the family moved to Uganda. What started out as a place to host cooking lessons and a selling point for the food prepared, soon turned out in a restaurant.

Linove is one of the places I love to frequent. The staff is very friendly, the ambiance cosy (even though is just next to the road side) and most important of all, the food is fresh and lovely. The kids usually gobble down some pizza margherita al taglio (pizza slice for 7K) or/and the penne al pomodoro (22K). My favourite is the parmigiana di melanzane served with fresh homemade focaccia bread (26K).

Fridays are the best. During happy hour you can enjoy a good glass of wine whilst enjoying Linove’s delicious fingerfood. If you can’t stay, take away is also an option.

Good to know: Linove offers cooking lessons and catering.
